We are a woman-led business with the goal to create an experience that is supportive and where all skill levels feel welcomed, respected and connected. We bring decades of sewing and quilting experience to the table and are open to share that knowledge with the sewing community. Professionally trained as a lockstitch sewing machine and serger overlocker mechanic. Certified by the leading provider of technical and mechanical training based out of the United Kingdom.

Diagnosis - this is a pre-paid service. Let’s have a discussion around what specific problem is occurring with your machine. Leave it with us and we will perform a diagnostic assessment and will be in touch with you before any additional work is completed. Pre-paid at time of drop off

Inspection - this is a pre-paid service. Do you have a machine that is new to you? A gift? A second hand find? Leave your machine with us and we will give it a thorough inspection. No work will be performed until we have a conversation to discuss the results of the inspection. Pre-paid at time of drop off

Professional Scissor and Sheer Sharpening - Enjoy the pleasure of cutting into your fabrics with scissors that make the job smooth - like butter. Before your scissors go home, they will be cleaned and lubricated too.
$25.00 for standard scissors or sheers
$30.00 for pinking shears
Cleaning and Service - Drop off your machine for a day of pampering. Cleaning helps machines run smoothly and makes your time spent sewing more enjoyable and productive. Any specific issues identified during the cleaning will be brought to your attention in the moment and we will have a discussion to determine the best course of action.

Our goal is to get you and your machine back working together as soon as we can. We will provide you with an estimated completion date when your machine is dropped off at our storefront. If repairs and/or replacement parts are required we will be in contact with you before any work is done to discuss your options.
If you would like a machine to keep you creating while you wait, we offer machines for rent.
Do you have an inherited black Singer Sweetheart that is having a problem with tension? Or do you have a beautiful birds egg blue vintage White that skips stitches? Or maybe you have a sleek and sassy modern white Janome that keeps breaking bobbin threads? Or perhaps your hard working BabyLock serger just doesn’t cut like it used to?
No problem ! Your antique, vintage and modern machines are all going to receive top shelf care. Please take a moment to review the services provided by Sewing Machine Care and Repair Inc. We can professionally look after your scissors and sheers as well so consider bringing them in to be sharpened to round out your tuned up sewing experience.
We also carry an inventory of machine needles, bobbins, threads and machine maintenance supplies in our shop. Other specialty items are available upon request.
